MDA Fill the Boot

Once again, Strasburg Fire participated in a proud fire service tradition of supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association with the Fill the Boot fundraiser.  Held over Labor Day weekend, fire departments all across the country use their boots to save lives in another way by raising money to research new drugs and treatments to defeat muscular dystrophy as well as giving kids with MD a chance to attend a special summer camp at no cost to their families.  Learn more about it here.

The charity has been very successful over the years with 3 new drugs receiving FDA approval in the last year.  However, none of this would be possible without community support.  Strasburg Fire is grateful for the generosity of those that stood against muscular dystrophy with us.  Raising $4,350.94, Strasburg absolutely made a difference in the lives of children and families afflicted with this disease.  Thank you for your support!
